The Fellowship
Bailey has just finished painting up Games Workshops The Fellowship. Dug out my old rule book miniatures from the release of the film (think the upcoming Hobbit film has fired the interest again) and planning to run a few games at MAWS.

2nd Campaign Battle
2nd battle on the same night was also on the outskirts of Madrid but this time it was Rob attacking (helped by two) Bruce's Spanish (helped by Andy) trying to hold the river.
Not a full French corps attacking and under strength Spanish corps (for them) across the river which is very hard. Rob chose to stay at distance and whittle down the Spanish. After a few turns Bruce had to pull back from the river and blew the bridge, again time in the evening caused the game to end with neither side showing a victory and could have done with some more turns. The Spanish lost more units and had more shaken units than the French but no French had crossed the river and only found one ford. Which had some Spanish waiting to give them a kicking if they entered the river.
Campaign Battle
On Monday night there were two battles on for our Campaign.
This battle was Bailey attacking Bobs town. Do not know to much on this game as I was helping on the other table. Baileys much larger French army helped by Russel (club newbie) attacked early in the morning against Bobs British entrenched in the town helped by Mark. Bailey started 6's from Bobs army so it got very hectic very fast. Lots of hand to hand and close firing by both sides.
In game terms it was classed as a British victory because they held the town by the end of the night but in the campaign terms the smaller British force suffered more units down. I think the time span of playing in a evening is to short for a large contact, Bailey says If you had more time his larger numbers would have taken its toll on the British. But it was some good hard defending by the British.

River Sections
New river section from Pegasus Hobbies, pre painted. Now its long enough to fit across a 6x4 foot table. Managed to pick up another section from a shop in north Wales. Theses are both sections.
